29th Febuary

hihi! today is 29th Febuary, a rare date that comes by only once in four years! =D

& Michelle (me), Astrid, Georgina, Isabel and Charis went to Plaza Singapura to watch a nice movie called "The Leap Years" but somehow Qi Yuwu ruined the whole show by his awkward English command when compared to the other actors speaking English in the show. there were these phrases that were left imprinted on my mind which were super hilarious xD

"I feel joy when i see her,
warmth when i touch her,
i love her"

its sounds so sick =P

anyways, the show is about this girl liking this guy for 12 years before they got together, how sweet is that~ awww... i cant imagine me liking a guy which is not my husband, keeping no contact at all, for even more than 10years! i might, but its only 10% possible. hehehe I'm a very devoted person OKAY! hahaha

ohBTW, according to the show there's this tradition whereby when people asks someone on a date, the other person cannot reject on the 29th Feb. COOL RIGHT? =D

lolol those pictures are taken last few days ago. by the way today after school, everyone went for a compulsory science enrichment thingy. lol luckily, i was in the Tiger Burary group. (i was one of the first few who signed up with eileen!) hahaha and yepp, we went all the way to TUAS to feel jealous all over while seeing those adults drink the diffrent types of beer =.= KIAMPAHHH! hmpfft.

The Early Medieval acta of either Saint Valentine were excerpted by Bede and briefly expounded in Legenda Aurea, According to that version, St Valentine was persecuted as a Christian and interrogated by Roman Emperor Claudius II in person. Claudius was impressed by Valentine and had a discussion with him, attempting to get him to convert to Roman paganism in order to save his life. Valentine refused and tried to convert Claudius to Christianity instead. Because of this, he was executed. Before his execution, he is reported to have performed a miracle by healing the blind daughter of his jailer. Legenda Aurea still providing no connections whatsoever with sentimental love, appropriate lore has been embroidered in modern times to portray Valentine as a priest who refused an unattested law attributed to Roman Emperor Claudius II, allegedly ordering that young men remain single. The Emperor supposedly did this to grow his army, believing that married men did not make for good soldiers. The priest Valentine, however, secretly performed marriage ceremonies for young men. When Claudius found out about this, he had Valentine arrested and thrown in jail. In an embellishment to The Golden Legend, on the evening before Valentine was to be executed, he wrote the first "valentine" himself, addressed to a young girl variously identified as his beloved, as the jailer's daughter whom he had befriended and healed, or both. It was a note that read "From your Valentine."

In another apparently modern embellishment, while Valentine was imprisoned, people would leave him little notes, folded up and hidden in cracks in the rocks around his cell. He would find them and offer prayers for them.

hahaha actually i've heard of the legend before. ohyah and my school sec4 has got one guy's name which is "Felix Valentino" or something lidat i think. cool right! LOL

today is more like a S.A.D for me. Singles' Awareness Day. hahaha so i quickly got myself a hubby today! & his name is Justin! =D whooooo~ lols

& sadly, i had english remedial with Mrs Poon cuz my english is like ........... =.= but OMG it was freaking boring... actually she's a good teacher lah but she can't communicate with students very well, she makes students irritated easily. i completed more than half of a comprehension! woots =D
